How Does it work?

Our DIY packs enable you to build the pool yourself, by following our step-by-step instructions.

We stay in contact over the duration of the build and arrange the delivery of the materials direct to you. We are available for any trouble shooting or advice throughout your build.

What is included in the DIY pack?

All of the materials and instructions you need to build a simple natural swimming pool from start to finish including the structural materials, the timber sleepers, the linings, gravel, filtration, the timber for the small deck and starter plants.

What isn’t included in the DIY pack?

The initial dig – However we will provide instructions for your digger driver and even a contact for a digger driver if needed.

Equipment – You will need a selection of building tools, some of which you can hire (or borrow) These include: cement mixer, chop saw, drill, impact driver and the basic tools such as shovels, trowel, spirit level etc.

Is my space suitable?

Finding out a bit more about the land you plan to use for your pool can be useful as there are a few things to look out for:

Not enough depth – You need to be able to comfortably dig 2 metres down, if you hit bedrock before that your space may be too difficult to excavate.

High water table – Low lying ground can have a high water table which can incur extra construction stages in the build.

Sloping ground – A slight gradient is workable, but a steep incline would need more substantial building work.

Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – If you are in an AONB or conservation area or your building is listed you may need to check with your local authority.

Timescale?                                                                    

Depending on how quickly you work and how big a pool you are going for, will naturally affect how long it takes, but on average you’ll need to set aside about 15-20 full days – based on two people working on site.

Can I customise my natural swimming pool

This DIY pack is for a simple natural pool, if you want something a bit different that is great but we would have to create a bespoke plan for you.

Pricing

The cost of your pool depends on the size you would like. We have varying total areas sizes to select from ranging   from 28m² to 150m².

The most popular size is a 9m x 6m (total area 54m²) with a 6m x 3m swim zone

We are aiming to launch the DIY packs on our website on 1st October and for 4 weeks (until October 29th ) all DIY packs will be half price as a very early introductory offer.
